Friend!
You have been busy..that quilt is really pretty.
The Trail is sad,I cannot imagine that happening in America, but they have never been able to revoke the property deed to the Cherokee in Cherokee, NC The Doc that owned the land and willed it to them made it loop-holess so when you drive thru that whole main strip and for miles around is thiers. And they are the Cherokee Nation within the USA..in Oklahoma the land they are on is theirs much like NC. Oil derricks and all that aren't the Gov's.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08427548062986506957noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8332471591254149295.post-23612227514810896312012-01-17T12:24:42.632-05:002012-01-17T12:24:42.632-05:00Wow, quilting! I think I told you a while back that I lived where they removed them to, NE Oklahoma. I also learned that the word, "Cherokee" is another tribe's pronunciation of what they call themselves: Tsa-la-ghi. Fascinating, huh?
Hugs my craftee friend!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8332471591254149295.post-2461345376203549432012-01-13T08:46:55.854-05:002012-01-13T08:46:55.854-05:00Your are off to a great start with your wee quilt....Your are off to a great start with your wee quilt. I also like scrappy. I also enjoyed seeing the photos of the Sandhill Cranes. I saw them on the Platte River in Nebraska a long time ago. Lovely birds. I hope you are doing well.
