Goldfinches always add such a bright spot when they visit our feeder and birdbath.
Its springtime plumage wasn’t quite in when I took this picture.
As you can see better in this photo.
In gardening news the strawberries in our raised beds are starting to ripen. I’ll have more on that soon as we had to do emergency prevention a few days ago in order to have a harvest.
The broccoli plants are are doing great. I’ve been feeding them a sprinkle of coffee grounds now and then.
I finished crocheting this rug recently to use in my kitchen.
I was hoping to have a tutorial up for it by now, but I’ve just been too busy with all the springtime chores. Click anywhere in this sentence to find free crochet rug patterns.

ReplyDeleteHi Elaine,
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting here! Kay told me about Windows Live Writer which I didn't have on my pc, but I downloaded it and was able to post through that program. Yay.
Yay! It looks like all of my friends are showing up in the Great Smoky Mountains. I am glad that the Windows Live Writer is working for you, Toni. It is so user friendly.

Good afternoon :) I am so glad to see that bit of 'greenish' tinge on the goldfinch. I had never been able to catch that before. How wonderful yellow and the rich blue of the rug are together, and you are finished already! Wondering what you had to do to those strawberries to save them? I have not been able to grow broccoli with great success before...the heads were so small. I'll remember coffee grounds. Mr. Rabbit better watch out for Mr. MacGregor!! Have a beautiful rest of the week, Toni. God bless you!

Great photos! Love your rug. The color is lovely. My Mom used to always have crocheted scatter rugs in our home. Have not thought of them until I saw your photo! Sorry I haven't been visiting. I know you understand how busy I've been with working 40 + hours a week. My blogging has suffered. No time ;)Miss it though...maybe one of these days I'll get back into it.
