On Upper Tremont Road in The Great Smoky Mountain National Park where many years ago, I saw my first Kingfisher along this river. Click to make it big, but be careful so you don't get wet.  The water is really cold this time of year.  ;)   See you soon, the Good Lord willin'.

    What a beautiful place! I especially like the first photo, but the scenery and fall colors in all of them are lovely! Very neat to see the old barn--it is almost see-through!

    We were just there last week! We hiked the Middle Prong trail at Tremont, up to Lynn Camp Prong Falls and a little beyond. Doug also hiked to Andrews Bald. I sat that one out. My legs and feet can't handle a steep rocky trail like that anymore. We did hike Little River trail up to Husky Branch Falls one day, though. I wonder if we might have passed each other somewhere along the way.

    Totally agree: the most glorious mountain range in the USA! Look at the yellow and brown foliage, we don't have those here in my place. Thanks for sharing, the scenery is so dreamy. :-)

    Oh my friend, you had me in tears! You just have no idea how much I want to be there right now! Two years ago around this time, I was in Cades Cove. Such a lovely place!

    Hello, What a beautiful country side that you get to enjoy! Just the name of these mountain's make me smile. We need to stop and take a mental picture of all God's beautiful creation as soon as we blink snow will be falling! Hope you are doing well!

    oh wow memory flashback I remember Cades Cove for some reason-I know when I was a young child we camped and visited the smokey mountains during one of Dad's vacations. what else is there?

    My goodness. One shot is more beautiful than the next, but I think the third photo is the one that speaks to me most. Reminds me of my beloved North Carolina.

    You live in such a beautiful area. We've visited Civil War battlefields so of course have seen many split rail fences like this. There is something so beautiful about their simplicity.

    Country side is beautiful. I enjoyed the Video. A real bonus of a blog on good fences and the rapid water, woodland. My place like yours was called. Richie Falls. I think you could browse Internet to see it. It is in Lochlin area. Canada.

    Oh my gosh, so many memories! I've been to Cades Cove so many times with my family - first on family vacations with my parents and now with my own children. I used to dream that I would grow up and live there one day :) really beautiful photos.

    Just checking out your blog...
    Saw this one on Cades Cove, one of my favorite places to visit! We used to live near Chattanooga in Pikeville and loved Tennessee.
    Now we love in our own "Oliver's cabin" in Arkansas! It's 175 year old cabin with the logs still intact.. Amazing, but not as beautiful scenery as Tennessee. Thanks for posting!
