I'm not a huge fan of jello salads, but this one is wonderful in my opinion.
It's fresh, fruity and delicious, really, I wouldn't trifle with you. ;)
If you'd like to try it for yourself here's the recipe.Best Jello Salad Ever
1 large package orange flavored jello
1 jar (1lb. 4 ozs.) grapefruit sections, drained - this is in the fruit & vegetable cooler at your store
1 can crushed pineapple, drained
Add the correct amount of water (or use the drained pineapple juice for part of it) according to directions on the package. Add fruit. Chill till set.

ReplyDeleteWhen I wrote the post I couldn't remember where those bean pots came from....Jim said I got way tooooo many collections....He reminded me they came from the Antigue Mall in Sevierville at the big one that used to on the right before now resort (it was a field across the creek) and Kroger. He was right..they had the best selection, but sometimes pricey. It's been in the upper 90's this past week..today only in the 80's and less humidity..next week up to 99 plus heat index...yuck! tryin to get some yard wook done at my parents house for em...before it gets any hotter.
Love those coasters. I use fall colors all year round. Live in a cedar siding home that looks log so it lends itself to pine motif fall colors. If you look in Jan Feb posts you'll see snow pic with house.
Ooooh, I am SO ready for fall. This hot weather does not make me happy, and fall is most definitely my favorite season.

Autumn is my very favorite time of the year -- October being my favorite month. Those coasters really put me in the mood for some cool, crisp air laced with the smell of fallen leaves. Thanks for linking to the tutorial. I think I'll give those a try!

ReplyDeleteFor anyone in doubt, that is definitely an awesome jello salad. I love it, and I have always despised jello salads. Especially the little bundt-shaped ones in the cold section of grocery stores. Bleh.

Your jello salad reminds me of the one my mother used to make. It was my grandfather's favorite. Instead of the grapefruit she added grated carrots. I bet your grapefruit/pineapple/orange salad is delicious. Will have to try it sometime!
