Mine, all the seeds are mine. Wait who's that near the water dish?
Squaaaaaaaaaaawk!
It's too cold to move...
Our budding herbalist came down to visit for several days last week. She's a big fan of tearooms so we lunched at Miss Olivia's Table in Maryville one day before she had to leave.

Miss Olivia's is a casual tearoom/sandwich shop that you might consider stopping by for lunch on your way to the Smokies. They serve an excellent chicken salad croissant, my favorite of the sandwiches on the menu, and I love the Summer Tea as did the budding herbalist.
We were seated in the sun room and watched a squirrel scamper among the trees as we waited for our food. (It was raining so a silhouette is about the best my phone could do.)
Budding Herbalist had the strawberry trifle for dessert. She gave it 5 stars.
Have a great day y'all!
Some sheep farms in Scotland dye their sheep for the tourists to enjoy as they tour the countryside. |
Hello, love your pretty Cardinals and yard birds. The Tea Room sounds lovely, a nice lunch and treat. The sheep is cute, what a color. Happy Monday, enjoy your day and new week!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Eileen, we enjoy the birds immensely. I put seeds out on the deck rail for them so we can watch as we have our meals in the kitchen. Thank you for stopping by.
DeleteLove the cardinals and the "dialogue." Miss Olivia's does look like a fun place to visit. That dessert looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteLinda, I was a little surprised to see actual lady fingers in the trifle as this place is very casual, but I shouldn't have been as I know she caters weddings besides running the tearoom. Thank you for stopping by.
DeleteVery nice ! I love the cardinals !
ReplyDeleteCardinals are one of our favorite birds, so pretty.
DeleteThank you for stopping by.
Oh, Yummy! Strawberry Trifle!
ReplyDeleteLove the Cardinals!
Thank you Lea, we love our birds.
DeleteOh, sweet friend, what darling birds! I couldn't help but smile at their antics.
ReplyDeleteI hope your New Year is off to a beautiful start. Hugs!
Hi Stephanie! It's great to hear from you, thank you for stopping by.
DeleteI love seeing your deck visitors and knowing more about them. We don't have cardinals or bluebirds in Europe and I find them the most interesting! Only dusty grey sparrows and pigeons come to my city window.
ReplyDeleteMiss Olivia's Table looks like a cosy comfortable place to have lunch, now I envy you a lil' bit more. ;-)
Stay warm & have a nice weekend!
Hi Alhana! Our birds are our main entertainment, and we're thankful to have so many different ones to watch. Bluebirds and Cardinals are my favorites, too. I made a peanut/raisin/suet for the bluebirds today so I hope they like it. Thank you for stopping by. :)
DeleteLove the birds and the tea room looks like a great place to lunch. However, that sheep made me laugh. What a fun idea!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Betty, I appreciate your visit. I love those sheep, too.
DeleteCardinals are my favourite bird.
ReplyDeleteThey're one of my favorites, too. Thank you for stopping by, Linda.
DeletePretty birds and tea room! The orange sheep looks nice and warm :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Beatrice. When I first saw the dyed sheep I thought is was a joke, but it wasn't. Thank you for stopping by and leaving me a comment.
DeleteMiss Olivia's does look like fun! And that cardinal definitely is Angry Bird! :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you, we had fun looking around at Miss Olivia's as she had been a square dancer, and made all her dresses herself. Photos of her are displayed in another part of the tearoom. Thank you for stopping by.
DeleteWhat a delightful bird. We don't get anything so extravagantly feathered in our part of the world so I'm always so cheered by photos of them from American acquaintances :-) The tearoom looks lovely! We don't have many of those either, sadly. Lots of coffee shops though, which is entirely different.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sarah. We do have a wonderful variety of birds in America. I'm looking forward to spring when the gray-green winter feathers of our goldfinches will once again be bright yellow. Thank you for stopping by.
DeleteYour tea house reminds me of where Becca and I frequent when she is home form Oregon! We go to Tina's Tea Emporium in Carmel, IN. Stay warm and missing you, friend! <3
ReplyDeleteHi Jacqueline, Tina's sounds like a wonderful tea room (I googled it.:), and I can just imagine you and Becca having a lovely meal there. Thank you for stopping by, my friend.
