Hello from the foothills where the bluebirds are already house hunting in earnest and thoughtfully waiting for the winter to pass.
A couple of posts back I had mentioned that our Budding Herbalist had been down for a visit, but I failed to mention that she was spreading her wings as a sewist and had made this lovely laundry bag.
She's all about details and likes whatever she does to be a step away from the norm.
She was back this week and this time wanted to try watercolor painting.
Her first attempt fairly burs-ted with color.
One of our ever-present grumpy looking, yet beautiful Cardinals.
Happily my begonia cuttings made it through the winter and will be potted soon, Lord willin'.
More dyed sheep from the Scottish Highlands.
This photo is too pretty for words, but I think someone has doctored it a little bit. Have a lovely week y'all.

Hello, the dyed sheep look almost fake. They are so cute. I love your Bluebird and pretty Cardinals. Your scarf is beautiful, love the laundry bag! Pretty begonia. Due to a wind storm, our power went out yesterday morning and is not back on yet. Thankfully hubby got our generator working long enough for me to make a few comments. I will catch up on all links and blog comments asap. Thanks so much for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Eileen. Sorry to hear you had no power for a while, but glad you have a generator. I hope yours is quieter than ours. It's so loud I'd rather do without power and just cook on the grill.
DeleteFinally spring ! I love the laundry bag !
ReplyDeleteYes, we're ready for more flowers and hopefully a small garden. Thanks for stopping by. :)
DeleteDyed sheep? Well...I never! Amazing! Love seeing your signs of Spring! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteHi Diane. I'm as shocked as you over the sheep, but they are a pretty sight.
DeleteThe bluebird photo is truly a beauty, Toni. Good job! I love the shawlette and absolutely say "Amen" to the sentiments you expressed. The laundry bag is charming, and the detail on the ties really sets it apart. Beautiful spring flowers. Makes me want to visit the Smokies soon. ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Linda. Would you believe there has been only one time that we drove into the park when the rhododendrons were in bloom? They're always blooming when I'm busy trying to squeeze a few homegrown vegetables out of our horrid clay soil. I do love seeing them in bloom though.
DeleteHow lovely!! Your neck of the woods is on my travel bucket list!! - www.domesticgeekgirl.com
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by.
DeleteThe 'rookie' painting is lovely!
ReplyDeleteThank you, she's ready tho trade her other paints for watercolors.
DeleteYour Budding Herbalist is quite talented, I must say. That laundry bag is very beautiful, and her painting creative and promising. That dripping watermelon is making my mouth water!
ReplyDeleteI love your shawlette and must confess I agree with you even if I'm regarded young enough to show my anythings, which I usually cover up. ;-)
Enjoy the daffodils (my favourite flower!) and bird-sighting, spring is just around the corner.
Alhana, I'll tell our granddaughter what you said about her painting. She will bee encouraged. We love watermelons and eat our weight in them every summer. I wish i could pass you a bouquet of daffodils. Now, trees are blooming so the allergy season begins...
DeleteOh my word, I love that shawl. So beautiful! Your granddaughter has got some natural talent.
ReplyDeleteJust popped over to see if there was anything new happening. I think y'all have had a cool damp spring. Hope you're well :-)
ReplyDeleteLady Locust, we are well, thank you! I've left the blog up in case I decide to post again. :)
