If all goes well, our remodeling will continue next week. Our carpenter-in-law (& Youngest) will be back to take care of that, & Dgd #1 will be coming back from Summer Camp. That means I'll be running around like a chicken with no head (chuckles) & no posting, again. (Hope you can stand it. ;) ROFL!! Oops, this clematis found its way into a tree. Since my last knitting post, between all the doin's here, I've knitted another P&C Earthtone Scalloped Waves Spa Cloth & several others besides. (You can find the pattern on Ravelry. One note, it's no longer free. :(
S&C Westport
P&C Painted DesertS&C Country Brown Ombre
S&C Violet Veil OmbreI couldn't stand it till I showed you what I got from the Knitting Nest yesterday.... OH, BOY!! Pass the knitting needles, please. ;) Goodman turned me loose in there to do a little shopping for my birthday. (Brave man;) I took along some patterns I'd been wanting to knit, & Antje, proprietor & author, ever so sweetly helped me pick out just the right yarns for them. Thanks, Antje! Y'all, you have to stop in The Nest when you visit the area, I promise she'll treat you right. Here's a little peek in my shopping bag.
The bathmat! (Yes, Melanie hit the proverbial nail on the head. ;) I took for granted the cone of worsted yarn I was using was going to be sufficient, but not so. I've begun anew on that and hope to show you next time. Have a great week, Y'all!
Oh, you've got some fun stuff there--enjoy! Loved the dishcloths and the clematis sayin' howdyado.
ReplyDeleteYou are just like me...when we find a pattern we like we just have to keep trying it with different colors until we get it out of our system !!
ReplyDeleteYou found a great one this time :)
Super birthday shopping...you have lots of wonderful projects to start :)
Good luck with the rest of your remodel and I hope you get in lots of happy knitting ;)
I love those cloths and the colors are really wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHugs!!!
Ooooo...your cloths are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLove those Birthday goodies...ya don't call him Goodman for nothing do ya?! lol
I have two cones of double worsted just yelling at me to become bath mats. Are you designing it yourself or did you find a pattern somewhere?
Hugs!
Thanks for the comments, Y'all!
ReplyDeleteHey, Lil Knitter! Yes, Ma'am, the bathmat is my own design. It has very simple lines..a no-brainer really. I had googled & ravelry-ed & checked out the P&C site for a pattern but decided not to go with any of those. I guess I wanted a more classic look.
Anyways, I'm a-knittin' as fast as I can, hopin' to post it soon.Keep them needles handy! :)
ooooh! those sugar n cream colors!
ReplyDeleteI want/need them all! must buy!
love those dishcloths!I go crazy everytime I see a pretty dishcloth!
forgot to wish you a happy birthday! I was distracted by dishcloth envy!
ReplyDeleteThose spa cloths are gorgeous colours. Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday. Those are the best kinds of birthday gifts. I love your dishcloths, and the colors you choose look great!
ReplyDeleteYou got a little surprise on my blog...come and git it!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
I love the Scalloped Waves Spa Cloth. Do you think I could enlarge it to 9x9? I'm doing afghan squares for the Ghana Project and my current set is all 9x9 squares. Close Knit Hugs, another charity I want to start knitting for, requires 8.5x8.5 squares--I really hope this one is adaptable! Thank you. debi
ReplyDeleteMmmm! Yummy, pet-able yarn you have there! I can't wait to see what you make with them. I really love those three skeins on the bottom left of the picture. What is it!??
ReplyDeleteI just love those dish cloths. They look so good in variegated. I just hate that I missed the pattern when it was free. *snap*
And the Turkish Delight is making my tummy growl!
Ooooh look at all this prettiness! The knitting is just beautiful, such lovely work!
