Between working in the garden and the everlasting slow progress in the home improvement department I took the time to make a set of new coasters.
The complete tutorial for this great little craft project is here.
I'm not a huge fan of jello salads, but this one is wonderful in my opinion.
It's fresh, fruity and delicious, really, I wouldn't trifle with you. ;)If you'd like to try it for yourself here's the recipe.
Best Jello Salad Ever
1 large package orange flavored jello
1 jar (1lb. 4 ozs.) grapefruit sections, drained - this is in the fruit & vegetable cooler at your store
1 can crushed pineapple, drained
Add the correct amount of water (or use the drained pineapple juice for part of it) according to directions on the package. Add fruit. Chill till set.

Looks delicious on this hot summer day! I think I'll try it this afternoon as a matter of fact.
ReplyDeleteI must try the salad, I want that
ReplyDeleteglass dish! beautiful dish with orange jello ! I love glass ware !
also like the pumpkin coasters !
The coasters are beautiful and do look so autumny! That salad sounds delicious too.
ReplyDeleteUm Jello.....
ReplyDeleteWhen I wrote the post I couldn't remember where those bean pots came from....Jim said I got way tooooo many collections....He reminded me they came from the Antigue Mall in Sevierville at the big one that used to on the right before now resort (it was a field across the creek) and Kroger. He was right..they had the best selection, but sometimes pricey. It's been in the upper 90's this past week..today only in the 80's and less humidity..next week up to 99 plus heat index...yuck! tryin to get some yard wook done at my parents house for em...before it gets any hotter.
Love those coasters. I use fall colors all year round. Live in a cedar siding home that looks log so it lends itself to pine motif fall colors. If you look in Jan Feb posts you'll see snow pic with house.
Ooooh, I am SO ready for fall. This hot weather does not make me happy, and fall is most definitely my favorite season.
ReplyDeleteLoving the change here, so very pretty. Green is one of my favorite colors and this background is certainly a beautiful shade of green.
ReplyDeleteThe coasters are quite pretty and your salad looks yummy too. Lovely Autumn is not many weeks away:o) Happy week to you.

Autumn is my very favorite time of the year -- October being my favorite month. Those coasters really put me in the mood for some cool, crisp air laced with the smell of fallen leaves. Thanks for linking to the tutorial. I think I'll give those a try!
ReplyDeleteI'm bummed you're not participating in DRT this year. I hope you're having a great summer!
ReplyDeletemmm now. The only way I like Jello is if something else is in it. YUM
ReplyDeleteHi Mum, nice background. The more you look at it, the more it grows on you. (no puns)
ReplyDeleteFor anyone in doubt, that is definitely an awesome jello salad. I love it, and I have always despised jello salads. Especially the little bundt-shaped ones in the cold section of grocery stores. Bleh.
Your coasters look real good:D Now you're ready for Thanksgiving, which is only 3 months away(!?!?).
love,
me.^)
It looks very good! I'm looking forward to fall as well. It's such a wonderful season. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with lindy. I have been ready for fall all summer. I'm planning an October tea party for my family.
ReplyDeleteHey! So nice you stopped by. I wish I could afford those really big ones they have for in my garden, but I love my little ones.
ReplyDeleteThe gliders are always the first to go..they locked up. LOL the glider'd make a neat planter I bet.
The jello salad looks yummy, and I am so loving those coasters. Thanks so much for the link.
ReplyDeleteI too am ready for Fall and are longing for those cool Autumn breezes.:o) Summer is beautiful filled with lots of sun and fun, but I think I have had my fill:o)
Take care and continue to enjoy a most lovely week.

Hmmmm I just realized I commented on this lovely post some weeks back. Oh well, I simply double love it!!:o)

Your jello salad reminds me of the one my mother used to make. It was my grandfather's favorite. Instead of the grapefruit she added grated carrots. I bet your grapefruit/pineapple/orange salad is delicious. Will have to try it sometime!
ReplyDeleteOh I am not a fan either but this looks great for a holiday feast! I love the coasters! I would love you to link this post and the diy at the Fabulous Fall Linky Party! The party is open through the end of the month! Come and share your Fall Theme posts!

ReplyDeleteAnd your Jello Salad - yum! Throw some whipped cream on top and I'd probably eat the whole bowl....well, not the bowl itself, but the jello in the bowl! hee hee :) Thanks for sharing at ROI. Hugs to you!
