Like everyone else I'm really glad to see the daffodils up and blooming. Can spring be far behind?
I'm talkin' about curiously strong homemade mints, again, to broadcast a curious li'l discovery. This newest batch of mints is made with ginger root. I'd read that ginger helps with indigestion so I made up a batch, dried them and took them with me on a trip to visit with Youngest and her Man o' the House. He suffers from acid indigestion on a regular basis so I knew he would be my best tester, and you know what?
They WORKED! He's sold on them, now. I'm adding these to my herbal medicine chest. If you'd like to make some ... I worked 1 tablespoon of ginger root powder into a large walnut-sized portion of the gum paste.
Another batch of cinnamon ... these are just plain tasty.
Aspargus roots ready to plant as soon as the weather cooperates. Have I mentioned that I can't wait for Spring? Until next time ... keep it curious, Y'all. ;)
