Howdy, Y'all. It's a beautiful day in the foothills.
The sun came up, and the birds are singin' outside. That's outside.
Inside...I'll pour us both a stout cup of coffee. We're gonna to need it, see. In another room there's a deed that must be done.
History: The last time this event was attempted; we got nowhere. This time there's hope. We began last evening: Emptyin' the master bedroom closet of clutter. YEOW! Get out! Well, anyways, that part is in two trash bags, coverin' half the guest room and part of my bedroom floor. And I don't use the word 'coverin' lightly, either. Purgin' accomplished. Today, my mission, should I choose to accept it, is to paint said closet. I'm determined, I'm armed, and I'm goin' in. Well, I've dallied long enough. It's time.
Tweet, tweet, these cool clocks are at a Cracker Barrel Old Country Store near you, hopefully. That's where I got mine, anyways. See you next week, Lord willin'.
I got 40 years of clutter you couldReplyDelete
work on ! I am saving the planet by not filling up the landfill-just
junking up my home! open my closets
at your own risk!
The flowers are beautiful!ReplyDelete
When you get finished with your closet, I've got one up north waitin for ya!!LOL!!
Yeah! I need to let go of some clutter too! It'll be so nice to have a cleared out closet. Happy Spring Cleaning!ReplyDelete
Good luck on the cleaning/painting. Closets EEEK!!!! Your flowers are beautiful, and that clock is so neat. I wish we had cracker barrels around here. Hope you have a great day.ReplyDelete
You brave girl with your heavy duty cleaning!ReplyDelete
I love the Audubon clock too.
The only thing that ever got me to go through mine is when the hot water heater one wall away from it burst, and flooded it out.ReplyDelete
Which is when the hubby saw just how much yarn I had back in there, too, as well as my usual closet. Uh, hi, hubby!
He's awful patient with me. Meantime, have fun, y'hear?
We should be doing some of our own purging here, but we always put it off....good for you!! You'll feel great when it's done :)ReplyDelete
Those flowers are very pretty and I do like that clock. Good luck on your painting, something we have to start. Have a nice week.ReplyDelete
I love that clock!ReplyDelete
My closet is on the bottom of my to-do list, not because it's the least of jobs needing done. Rather, it's the job that needs done the most, but because it's so big, I'm putting it off until last. I'm afraid of what all I'll find in there.
We have an Audubon clock too, and I love it! Ours has different birds on it though. When I hear the owl hoot at midnight, I know I've stayed up way too late. lolReplyDelete
Ahh, spring ushers in evils as well as delights, like a rose with thorns, or grass with chiggers....ReplyDelete
Keep up the good purging, Mum.
Love the photos!ReplyDelete
Is that a buckeye tree the mocking bird is in? There is a cluster of buckeyes beside my house. The only ones anyone I know has seen in this part of West Virginia. Wish I knew how they came to be. :-)
I'm having a small garden plowed today. Hopefully. The guy said he'd be here early. It's almost 9 a.m. I guess our "early" isn't the same.
I had one of those bird clocks but it quite working. The cats ran through the house looking for the bird. I had to finally turn it down. HA!
Have a great weekend!
Your West Virginia friend,

My Honey put up a new bird feeder right where I can watch my little feathered friends from my favorite chair!:o) I love your blog Tea and I see from your previous post you have busily knitting! :o) Think I will linger around and catch up on all the post I have missed! :o) You and your family enjoy a beautiful weekend.
